Aha! Albariño TASTING SHEET

The wine name: Aha!

Aha! That’s often the response after someone tries Albariño for the first time. Crisp, refreshing, delicious, and with a slight effervescense l that is a little surprising. Clean crisp, ripe fruit aromas and flavors are typical of the wines from this grape.

Appellation: Paso Robles

Paso Robles is home to an abundance of wineries throughout the region because it offers the perfect climate for producing award-winning premium wines. Located in California between Los Angeles and San Francisco, Paso Robles is home to more than 200 wineries. The warm weather and fertile land let the vines mature slowly and impart the grapes with maximum flavors, sugars, acids and the necessary components that make up this beautiful Vino Vargas wine.

Grape Varietal: Albariño

Albariño or Alvarinho is a variety of white wine grape grown in Galicia (northwest Spain), Monção and Melgaço (northwest Portugal), where it is used to make varietal white wines. Originally from the warm, sunny areas of Spain and Portugal, Albariño seems to grow just as well in the Paso Robles area.  The warm to hot daytime temperatures and the cold nights (often 40 to 50 degrees cooler than the daytime highs) helps the vine achieve the perfect sugar and acid content at maturity.

Source: Single vineyard

This wine is made from grapes that were harvested by hand at the break of day. The grapes come from a single vineyard to ensure maximum flavor, consistency and authenticity. The vineyard is located on the east side of Paso Robles.
