The wine name: Trés Bien

Trés Bien is French for “very good” or “excellent”. Tres is also Spanish for three. Since this wine is made from three grapes and is excellent the name seems to fit quite well. Enjoy!

Appellation: Paso Robles

Paso Robles is located between San Francisco and Los Angeles. The most popular wine region in the Central Coast it is home to wineries and wine growers that specialize in a multitude of varietals. Its various microclimates provide ample areas to grow many of the most popular grapes in the wine industry.

Grape Varietal: Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre

This wine is made in the classic style of a Rhone blend. It consists of a balanced blend of 50% Grenache, 25% Syrah and 25% Mourvedre.

Source: Three Unique Vineyards

The Syrah is sourced from the East side of Paso Robles, along the Estrella River bed. The Grenache and Mourvedre is from our neighboring property on the West side of 101, north of Paso Robles, in the San Miguel AVA.

It is deep purple-red in color and stains the sides of the glass as it is swirled.

Grenache gives the wine a classic strawberry fruit aroma that complements the jammy and dried meat aromas of Syrah and bramble bush aroma of the Mourvedre.

Dry with balanced fruit, acidity, tannins and overall smooth silky mouth feel. 13.9% abv.

Barrel: New French Oak, 50%, medium toast

Trés Bien was aged in wooden barrels and monitored closely to impart a 50% new French oak taste. This foundation gives the wine a luscious blend of spice, vanilla and slight char.

A delicious wine to serve with grilled meats, savory dishes with mushrooms and olives, and spicy sauces.
