Vino Vargas wines are crafted with grapes from select single vineyards in California. We follow the life of the fruit closely and harvest by hand at the right time. The quality is impeccable and our preference is to only select grapes from the AVAs (American Viticulture Areas) that best capture the essence of the grape’s true origin.
Making wine is part science and part art. We combine experience with the best production tools available and focus on achieving a delicate balance of fruit, acidity, alcohol and tannins. We don’t shy away from using artisanal or scientific methods when we need to. The end result is a great bottle of Vino Vargas wine.
We barrel age each wine with an eye for beautiful hues, a focused aroma and taste markers that truly represent the grape varietal. We use traditional French oak to get a solid foundation of wood, vanilla and spice characters to compliment the wine. We don’t release a single bottle until it is perfect.
